How to fill ad reports straight into Google Sheets
Connect Google Sheets to Neuro and let AI read, fill, and append data straight into the spreadsheets your team already uses—whether they’re for client reporting or internal sharing.
A lot of ad reporting still lives in spreadsheets
You have checked the campaign results, but the shared report is still blank. The numbers need copying, the formulas need checking, and each campaign needs a comment.
Connect Google Sheets to Neuro to read and fill a specified area of your existing report. Here is a workflow using the input cells and comment column in a weekly report.

Give the work range, not just the URL
Spreadsheet work is unforgiving of vague prompts. It’s like asking a teammate: “Can you update this file?” is far riskier than “In the June report tab, fill B5:H12 with last week’s data.”
| What to include in the prompt | Why it’s needed | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Spreadsheet URL | Tells the AI which file to work on. | Open the June report tab in this Google Sheets URL. |
| Tab name and cell range | Keeps the AI from touching the wrong table or formula area. | Fill only the performance numbers in B5:H12, and write the comments separately in column I. |
| Date range and data source | Keeps your performance definitions consistent every time. | Use last Monday through Sunday, pulling from Google Ads, Meta Ads, and GA4. |
| Overwrite vs. append rules | Protects existing values, formulas, and accumulated raw data. | Keep the existing formulas and fill only the cells that are currently empty. |
| How to report back when it’s done | Lets your team review what changed right away. | At the end, summarize the ranges you edited, the date range you used, and any cells that need a human to review. |
How to hand off a shared report safely
- Start by deciding which tabs and ranges in your existing Google Sheets report the AI is allowed to fill.
- If the template has formulas, keep the input areas separate from the formula areas.
- Connect your ad platforms, GA4, and Google Sheets to the same workspace in Neuro.
- In the chat, give the AI the spreadsheet URL and work range, and first ask it to read and confirm the structure.
- Once the tabs and ranges it reports back line up with what you expected, have it fill in the performance data.
- When it’s done, have the AI summarize the ranges it edited, the data definitions it used, and anything that needs a human review.
Check the report after writing
Start with a small range in a shared file. Check totals against each source, confirm that formulas remain intact, and make sure GA4 revenue has not been added to ad-platform revenue as if they were separate sales.
When appending raw data, check that the same period has not already been entered. Keep row deletion, column deletion, and tab renaming separate from routine data entry so you can review each change.
